These are multi-role clutches with excellent performance across a wide rope range. The XAS series clutches are specified on production yachts worldwide and are the preferred choice of racers. They're perfect for racing yachts up to to 27 feet and cruising yachts up to 35 feet.
To increase holding power, increase your line diameter (or sleeve the rope tail). Good quality line and larger diameters always give better results.
When installing Spinlock rope clutches, note that the hinged end of the clutch handle faces forward, towards the direction of the load.
