Marelon® Vented Loops
Vented loops are commonly used in marine toilet and engine cooling systems. The simple valve system incorporated in the top of the loop allows air to enter the line when not in use, yet effectively seals as water or other fluid passes through. Installing Forespar vented loops will ensure that fluids will not siphon from tank to tank.
These vented loops are precision-molded in Marelon®, a patented glass-reinforced nylon, and neither vent nor loop will corrode. Marelon® is the only synthetic material to pass the stringent Marine UL-testing.
A duckbill one-way valve is designed to seal properly if particulate matter is present in fluids. Also, a new "vent barb assembly" option can be used in lieu of the standard cap/duckbill to allow venting to the outside of the hull via a 1/4" (6.35mm) hose. Both the duckbill valve assembly (Mfg #MF 841) and vent barb assembly (Mfg #MF 846) are available and sold
separately.
