"BayStar" Hydraulic Steering Kit
For Single-Station Outboard Boats
The BayStar™ system consists of a super-low-friction helm for smooth comfortable steering, a balanced cylinder, and a compact design that fits most splashwells. BayStar™ is for single-outboard powered boats rated up to 150 HP, including runabouts and inflatables, and outboard engines with ABYC standard-engine tilt tubes up to 150 HP (total). It's designed for single station, single engine use only.

- BayStar™ hydraulic tubing cut to suit application
- Requires 3" (76mm) cutout hole in dash
- Requires 21" (534mm) splashwell width
The BayStar™ kit contains the following:
- 1 Mfg #HH4314 - BayStar Helm 1.4 cu in (22.94cc)
- 1 Mfg #HC4645H* - BayStar Compact Cylinder*
- 1 Mfg #HT4420H - Tubing Kit, cut-to-fit (2 lengths x 20 ft.)
- 2 Liters Mfg #HA5430 - Hydraulic Oil
* Some engines may require alternative cylinders that need high-precision steering
Note: BayStar™ is
not intended for high-speed, high-performance boats, such as Bass Boats. It's also
not recommended for use with high performance, 150 HP engines (such as Mercury Optimax 150HP engines). Applications such as these should use SeaStar® PRO systems only.
CAUTION: BayStar is
only applicable for single station steering. Do
not use BayStar on smaller HP outboard engines that use wing nut type transom-mount clamping screws.
