Swageless 1x19 Stud Terminal
UNF (Unified Fine) Thread
Right-Hand Thread ONLY
In 1973, Sta-Lok introduced a new design of wire rope terminal which so simplified the termination of wire rope that it became essential equipment for both the amateur and professional rigger. Today, the Sta-Lok terminal is used by professionals around the world and has gained worldwide recognition for high quality and total reliability.
The Sta-Lok terminals featured here are a range of high-performance wire rope fittings for 1 x 19 and compact-strand (e.g., Dyform) wire ropes. They are designed to suit most turnbuckles and fixing points, and they are suitable for both right-hand and left-hand lay constructions.
Hand fitted instead of machine swaged
The Sta-Lok system is a simple mechanical method that has proven itself to be the most efficient way of terminating wire ropes. The terminal consists of an assembly of four components, which can be fitted on site using very simple hand tools. The Sta-Lok terminal is stronger than the wire rope. It will work under constant load and variable shock loading. In all situations, the Sta-Lok terminal has proven totally reliable.
Reusable
Manufactured from 316 stainless steel, all Sta-Lok terminals are reusable (a new wedge component must be used). They require no servicing and provide long life with very low maintenance costs.
Note: Sta-Lok terminals have been designed for use with stainless steel wire ropes. They should not be used with galvanized wire ropes because rapid galvanic action will cause the wire rope to corrode and fail. They are also not suitable for use with wire ropes with fibre cores.
