Schaefer 5 Series Blocks offer small-to-medium-sized cruising and racing yachts an extremely high strength-to-weight ratio, resulting in a highly refined and reliable block. Their strength and styling has also made them popular for medium use on bigger yachts, when combined with Schaefer larger series blocks.
Schaefer's versatile Universal Head design has a 3-way built-in locking feature and accepts "universal" adapters for custom mounting. Blocks are made of tough, hardcoat-anodized aluminum cheeks with UV-protected Delrin0 sheaves (except for Schaefer 504-06 with aluminum sheave) to withstand the elements and potential mishaps.
