Vertical Radar Reflector
The original tubular radar reflector.
The compact shape of this reflector offers little wind resistance, does not interfere with the sails, and is lightweight. When permanently mounted, the reflector is durable and doesn't make noise moving around. The aluminum elements inside are arranged at varying angles to each other, and they produce a very stable return on other boats' active radar screens.
This Mobri Model is designed with a "tilt" mounting bracket so that it can be laid down on a deck. It is most suitable for use on powerboats or sailing along the coast. The best performance is achieved when this reflector is mounted in a vertical position as high as possible over the deck. It should be mounted on the coach roof, a targa, or a tuna tower, away from the "shadow" of other equipment, such as antennas. The mounting bracket on this model has 3 holes for fasteners, and it is easy to remove when not in use.
