The Parker "No-Skive" 82 Series Push-Lok® Fitting is a one-piece, field attachable (reusable), "push-on" style fitting which permits quick and easy field assembly without special tools. Assembly of 82 Series No-Skive hose and fittings does not require a clamp and does not require removal of the outer cover of the hose, which eliminates premature hose failure caused by skiving too long or short.
Parker's SAE Inverted Flare fittings are commonly used in the automotive industry. The male has straight threads and a 45° inverted flare. The female has straight threads and a 42° inverted flare. The seal takes place on the flared surfaces, as the threads provide the mechanical holding power and create a metal-to-metal seal.
