ScotchBlok™ Masking Paper
This is 3M's "preferred" critical masking paper with thin poly-backing that is still easy to tear. ScotchBlok™ is a tightly-bonded, specially-coated masking paper that is 2-mil thick and specifically manufactured for use with automotive and marine gelcoat and paint systems. It resists penetration from paint solvents used in urethane and other base coat or clear coat paints and the bonded fiber formation protects against dust contamination from its own paper fibers. This paper provides excellent conformability and is designed to hold up well under wet sanding
conditions.
This 3M product is ideal for protection against bleeding of paint solvents and offers greater protection than many other types of gross masking mediums. It can withstand bake cycles up to 225° F. (107° C.) for 30 minutes. It is designed to be used with 3M masking tapes and 3M masking equipment with excellent performance on apron tapers and maskers.
