This self-priming macerator pump unit will handle sewage, waste, toilet paper, cigarettes, cigars and all solids which can be macerated that are of approximately 1-inch size. It will not handle fruit pits, hard plastic utensils, prophylactics, cloth or fabric sanitary napkins.
These pumps utilize Buna-N impellers that can handle oil-contaminated water and kerosene at reduced impeller service life. Liquids that are compatible with Neoprene can be pumped, including fresh and saltwater solutions and mild chemicals. Do not pump severe solvents or acids, and whenever possible, flush pump with fresh water after usage.
A 30-gallon holding tank can be emptied in less than 4 minutes using large diameter (3/4") garden hose. These pumps self-prime up to 4 feet, with discharge up to 20 feet uphill or up to 50 feet away. (Use large diameter garden hose for best results.)
Suction lift of 15 feet is possible when pump remains primed (2.5 feet when suction line is empty). Suction lines must be airtight in order for pump to self prime. A foot valve at beginning of suction line is recommended.
