Folding Rigging Knife with Marlinspike - Natural Bone Handle
"Crew" Model AF377P - 3/4 Serrated Blade
Generation 2 Springless DoubleLock®
These 3/4-size folders are created for the seaman who wants the absolute finest rigging knife available. Each is crafted from natural bone and German marine-grade stainless steel. The Pro-Grade German marine stainless that Myerchin uses is comparable to 440C for hardness and edge-holding properties, with additional anti-oxidation elements added for the final crafting. Built on heavy-duty frames in 3/4 "crew" size, these knives will easily last a lifetime or two. The natural bone in handle is of sustainable bovine origin and is an excellent base for traditional scrimshaw. Every handle has slight color differences, natural stress lines, and the ability to weather and age gracefully as it is handled by the owner.
Myerchin Generation 2 Folders utilize a redesign of their "state of the art" double-lock mechanism in order to provide safer, smoother operation in the harsh marine environment. Their new design is an advanced springless locking mechanism that allows the blade and/or spike to be locked independently, yet for ultimate safety all folders feature butter-smooth one-hand operation. The seamless blend of tradition and technology with master cutler's craftsmanship ensure the finest folding knives that money can buy.
This "Crew" folder has a three-quarter serrated blade (Pro Model). The three-quarter serration allows the tip portion of the blade to have the traditional, fine-ground edge. This time-tested serration pattern is excellent for cutting synthetic line.
Cordova Nylon sheath included.
