Scotch® #218 Fine Line Tape
Scotch® #218 is a 4.7 mil (0.12mm) polyproplene plastic film tape with rubber adhesive. This high performance film-backed tape has low profile and high adhesion to achieve excellent paint lines or for other masking and holding applications.
The polypropylene film with special processed backing allows taping over freshly painted acrylic lacquer or enamel surfaces sooner and with less chance of imprint damage. Use of such tape provides the finest color separation line possible in multi-color striping jobs.
This tape can be used for lettering, striping, and two-tone separation lines in all types of boat and auto refinishing projects. The special processed film backing stretches easily for smooth curves yet can be easily torn by hand with a quick tearing action against the thumb nail. Tape has excellent moisture and solvent resistance. Not designed for outdoor application.
