High-Test Galvanized Anchor Shackles
These are hot galvanized anchor shackles with high-strength alloy pins.
(Note: The pins are not galvanized.)
Screw-pin anchor/chain shackles allow quick and easy removal of the screw pin and can be useful in applications where the shackle is frequently removed, but not so much in applications where the pin is subject to torque or twisting. Shackles are made from technically advanced micro-alloy material. Each is permanently marked with size and Working Load Limit according to Federal Specification RR-C-271B, Type IV, Class 1. Shock load testing of assemblies at -30° F consistently demonstrate micro-alloy outperforms quenched and tempered carbon material.
