Backstay Radio Insulator
The lightweight Arco insulator used at the top and bottom of the backstay will convert the backstay of a yacht into an efficient 2-way radio antenna and the new single sideband installation.
The insulator body is made of high-strength Delrin and will handle well in excess of the authorized radio power input from 1-30 MHz. The outer sleeve of 501 alloy is powder-coated and backed to withstand temperature and weather conditions beyond all practical applications. Long leakage paths, low capacity and freedom from moisture absorption result in exceptional efficiency. In all sizes, the insulator body is stronger than the swage fitting, and the guaranteed break strain far exceeds that of premium-grade wire rigging.
