8-Strand Plaited Polyester
Intrepid® rope is made from improved polyester fibers, noted for minimum stretch, high strength and durability. Columbian's plaited "Pli-Moor" construction (with 8 interwoven strands) imparts a torque-free, natural balance that eliminates kinks and hockles. High strength-to-weight ratio permits use of smaller, lighter lines.
In use, Intrepid®'s synthetic surface filaments develop a protective, sure-grip "fuzz" that aids in rapid line action and makes for easy handling. Long service life is assured by low moisture absorption, plus resistance to rot, mildew, sunlight and salt water. This rope can be stored wet without fear of strength loss.
