Ancor Marine Grade™ wire is manufactured from tinned-copper stranding for maximum protection against corrosion and electrolysis. This Primary Boat Cable is made to American Wire Gauge standards which means up to 12% more tinned copper conductors than SAE wire. Its ultra-flexible (Type 3) stranding resists fatigue due to vibration and flexing, as well as corrosion failure.
Ancor's proprietary premium vinyl insulation stays flexible even in extreme cold and provides greater heat shock, water resistance, flame resistance and chemical resistance than the general purpose thermoplastic covering (GPT) found in other wire. It also resists salt water, battery acid, oil, gasoline and ultra-violet radiation.
