"Drip Less" Moldable Shaft Packing Kit
Replaces & Outperforms Conventional Stuffing Box Packing
Drip Less® moldable packing kits are the economical answer to leaking shaft, as well as rudder, stuffing boxes. The Drip Less kit is a combination of TEFLON® (PTFE) moldable packing and TEFLON® (PTFE) paste. This combination forms a perfect self-lubricating seal within the stuffing box, keeping water out.
Some high-speed shafts may exceed the performance limits of the Drip Less kits, so it's important to compute per the performance formula below to be sure the kit will perform for each specific application. Note: The proper installation of this kit requires a package of conventional, square braid shaft packing of the proper size for your stuffing box. The packing is used as a retainer to hold the moldable packing in place and is not included in this kit.
